While it is laudable that the government is trying to insure all Americans, when it reaches a point that the Feds feel they must order us to purchase insurance, or anything else for that matter, or face fines, then they are overstepping their bounds. It is as simple as that. Nothing is free. For those of you who think the government is going to give you free healthcare, you fail to understand that someone, somewhere, is paying for your healthcare. At this point, it will be our grandchildren and possibly their children. Think about this. If this plan is so wonderful, why are so many politicians trying to find a way to get out of it for themselves or their constituents.

All this will do is continue the same practice used now by those who can not afford and do not have coverage. How much money each year is charged up and not paid by those going to the ER becasue they have no other option and that is what they were told by Mr. bush to do? When they tell you how much the bill could push cost up they leave out who much it could save us and thus off set any cost.

The State Senate passed a meaningless bill today in the Tennessee Health Freedom Act. Our country and its people are being financially ruined by health insurance companies and you and your GOP state senators help the State Senate to pass a law that grants us the "freedom" to buy the very product that is driving us to bankruptcy. It would be hilarious if it weren't so tragic.
