TCPR on Parental Choice Scholarships

TNReport.com, a nonprofit journalism organization, cites a recent policy brief by the Tennessee Center for Policy Research.

A parental choice scholarship program would put decision-making back in the hands of parents, allowing them to take control of their children’s education.

The brief showed the need for parental choice scholarships to alleviate Memphis parents’ lack of control over their children’s education. Unfortunately, a bill to create a pilot program for Memphis parents and students failed to advance out of the Senate Education Committee.
