At least a thousand homeowners made investment decisions based off of the city of Nashville’s position that homesharing was legal. They complied with the law, got their permit, and paid their taxes. And now the city is going to yank the rug out from under them. It’s unconscionable.
Supporters of homesharing offered numerous reasonable solutions to address credible concerns about noise, nuisances, and other neighborhood issues. The protectionist Washington D.C. hotel lobby and radical activists convinced the Nashville City Council to cave and ignore those reasonable solutions and refuse to compromise.
Whether you’re a vested home sharing property owner or a responsible tenant, you have a right to fight back against these special interest groups and make your voice heard. You DO have options, and the fight isn’t even close to being over.
