Beacon Legislative Roundup

Course Access (SB2497/HB1879) passed the Senate Finance Committee and the House Finance committee. It is scheduled for a vote on the House and Senate floors next week.

The Hall Tax (SB0047) cut of 1% with legislative intent to continue cutting the tax at 1% per year until the tax is gone was approved for funding in the state budget. It will be voted on by the finance committees in the house and senate next week.

Right to Earn a Living (HB2201) passed the Senate floor unanimously. The House Government Operations Committee also passed it with a favorable recommendation. The bill moves onto the House Finance Subcommittee and full committee next week.
