In July 2023, we launched the Beacon Poll, and it quickly became recognized as the most transparent and reputable poll in the state. With each quarterly release, the poll has captured widespread attention, garnering nearly 2,000 media mentions to date. It has helped frame and drive key policy debates in our state, and top elected officials regularly consult and even reference the results in the media.

Even with the Beacon Poll, Tennessee still lacks a comprehensive hub for detailed voter insights. It’s great to know where Tennesseans stand on important issues. But polling can only capture those views as a snapshot in time. What if we could track voter attitudes over longer periods? What if we could see how Tennesseans’ biggest challenges and concerns shifted from year to year or even month to month? 

Now, we can. Going forward, when you explore the quarterly Beacon Poll results, you’ll find them at their new home, TennSight.com. But you will also find much more than recent poll results. You’ll find trends on how voters view key policy issues over time. In time, you will see videos of your fellow Tennesseans talking—in their own words—about the issues that are high on their minds. You’ll be able to read expert commentary about what the trends we are witnessing mean for our communities and our future. And you will be able to access activation centers that will allow you to send messages directly to your lawmakers on the matters you care most about. 

We hope that TennSight will become the go-to source for you to learn what matters most to your fellow Tennesseans, why it matters, and what can be done about it. We will identify problems that you, your family, friends, and neighbors face, explore them more deeply, and offer ways for you to join us to be part of the solution.
